Biochemical Parameters in Patient of Sickle Cell Anaemia in Malwaregion - A Case Report

Sickle cell anaemia (SCA) is a hereditary hemoglobinopathy characterized by chronic haemolytic anaemia, Vaso-occlusive crises, and multi organ involvement. Biochemical alterations associated with SCA provide insight into disease severity, haemolytic activity, hepatic and renal status, and oxidative stress. This case report describes the biochemical profile like sodium, creatinine, LFT, iron and ferritin of a diagnosed sickle cell anaemia patient from the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh, India, highlighting characteristic laboratory changes and their clinical relevance. The importance of routine biochemical monitoring in Sickle cell anaemia patient for early detection of complications.
